La Grange Road Traffic Headache Starts Monday

Southbound traffic will be reduced to a single lane for most of the next three months between Brewster and Woodlawn.

Things are going to be messy this summer along North La Grange Road.

A massive water main replacement project expected to last roughly three months begins Monday between Brewster and Woodlawn.

One southbound lane will be closed each weekday from about 7 a.m.-4 p.m. for the duration, according to the village. There will be one to-be-determined three-day period where there’s a single-lane closure on the northbound side.

The catch to all this: There won’t be any detours through residential areas, so your best bet is to avoid the route completely if you’re worried about getting stuck in traffic.

Residents who live in the first block west of La Grange Road will also have a tough time getting to their homes. The village suggests using Ashland as an alternate path.
