La Grange to Delay Refuse Pickup This Week

The village's normal refuse pickup scheduled will be delayed in observance of Christmas and New Years.

The Village of La Grange will delay its refuse collection one day for residents south of 47th Street in observance of Christmas day.

Residents south of 47th Street with normal pick up on Thursday will receive refuse collection service on Friday, Dec. 27 and Friday, Jan. 3, respectively.

Republic Service will collect Christmas trees from the parkway as part of the regularly scheduled refuse pick up through the second week of January, according to the village. Trees with ornaments, tinsel, lights and any other festive decor will not be collected. remove all ornaments, tinsel, lights and other inorganic material before placing the tree on the parkway.
