Locked Car Burglarized In La Grange: Cops
Someone gained access by breaking a window on South La Grange Road, police said.

LA GRANGE, IL – In recent days, La Grange police handled cases involving theft, aggravated assault, retail theft and reckless driving. Here is information from the latest La Grange police reports:
Burglary
- A wallet containing cash and identification cards was stolen from a parked car in the 500 block of South La Grange Road. The suspect gained access by breaking a window. The theft was reported July 31.
Theft

- A worker for a grocery delivery service placed ordered items on the porch of a house in the 300 block of South Brainard Avenue and then took them with her when she left. The incident was reported July 31. An investigation continues.
Aggravated assault
- Richard A. Rivera, 18, of Chicago, was arrested about 12:30 p.m. Aug. 6 at 47th Street and Leitch Avenue on charges of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and aggravated assault.
Retail theft

- Two men stole $1,100 worth of items from the cosmetic section at Walgreens, 2 N. La Grange Road. The theft was reported Aug. 7.
- A 28-year-old Cicero man was arrested about 10:30 a.m. Aug. 4 at 7-Eleven, 6 E. 47th St., on a retail theft charge.
Reckless driving
- A 19-year-old Melrose Park man was cited about 1:30 a.m. July 27 at La Grange and Plainfield roads on a charge of reckless driving.
