Longtime La Grange Business Leader Departing
The executive director is leaving "big shoes to fill," the village president said.

LA GRANGE, IL – Nancy Cummings, the longtime leader of the La Grange Business Association, plans to leave her post after a dozen years.
During Monday's La Grange Village Board meeting, Village President Mark Kuchler praised Cummings' work.
"The LGBA has grown during your time. It has become much more involved in different activities," Kuchler said. "It has definitely broadened the appeal on social media with La Grange events. It has a lot to do with your hard work, professionalism, your skills and your contacts."

He added, "They are big shoes to fill, although I heard that your replacement is going to hit the ground running."
Cummings, who has been the executive director for a dozen years, received a standing ovation.

Her replacement is Cathy Domanico, who has a background in tourism and travel. She is set to start next week.
"She’ll bring a lot of depth into positioning La Grange as a destination for day tourism," Cummings said in an email to Patch.
Cummings said she would work for the association as an outside marketing consultant.
