Bozick had been missing since 9:30 a.m. that day when he headed out to fish on the river. Michigan State Police, the Alger Country Sheriff's Office and Search and Resuce were dispatched and began a four hour search of the river.
Bozick's body was found face down, floating in the river about a mile from his last reported location, a spokesman from Alger Country Sheriff's Office said.
“Our deepest and heartfelt sympathies go out to the Bozick family. The entire LT family sends well wishes to the family as they get through this difficult time," LT Superintendent Timothy Kilrea said in a statement today.
In a Chicago Tribune article, Sgt. Matthew Waldron said Bozick had been fishing with four people. The group split into two pairs, but Bozick seperated from his partner at some point. Waldron suspected Bozick might have gotten lost in the heavy timber of area.
