A Lyons Township High School graduate has been given a high honor by the Greater La Grange YMCA.
Alexandra Daemicke has been named Volunteer of the Year by the organization, The Doings La Grange reports. She said the award came as a surprise, and she loves giving her time to the organization because she enjoys working with children. Daemicke is now a freshman at Loyola University.
