Man Shoots Ex's Brother In Brookfield: Police
The man is accused of shooting the brother of his ex-girlfriend, police said.
BROOKFIELD, IL – An Orland Park man was arrested Thursday in the shooting of another man earlier this week in Brookfield.
Isaiah Montanez, 22, was charged with felony aggravated battery with a gun. A Cook County judge ordered him jailed until his trial, Brookfield police said in a news release.
About 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Brookfield police responded to the shooting, which was in the 4600 block of Custer Avenue. The victim, a 24-year-old man, remains hospitalized and is expected to recover, police said.

Police identified Montanez as the ex-boyfriend of a woman who lives on Custer Avenue. The victim was the woman's brother and was shot outside her house, police said.
