Moms Talk: Forget Parenting Topics! What's Keeping You Cool?

We're taking a break from talking about parenting topics on today's moms talk, due to the heat. It feels like it's 105 degrees out there today. Really, it does, I just heard it on the radio. That means it's too hot for a debate 

So, let's share some information about keeping cool. What are you doing today (and all week) to beat this heat?

Where should moms take their kids in and around La Grange and Western Springs? Many pools in the area are private. Can a mom suggest a good public pool? Which ones are the cleanest? Are they too small or are there too many kids?

How do you get your kids to drink enough water on hot days like today? What activities should the kids pass up this week? On a day like today, is it alright to play video games in the basement all day?

Don't worry about staying too on topic today, just share your tips for staying cool. These can include your favorite summer cocktail at the close of a hot day (mine's a pina colada), your favorite pool, the cafe with the best iced tea, whatever. Anyone can participate in today's discussion.
