Maybe it's not that bad your all of you, but I know it is for some. Kids today have technological skills that could only have been dreamed in science fiction novels a couple of decades ago.
So parents, how necessary is it to be computer literate?
I don't mean for jobs, or for learning the workings of social networking to keep up with friends, but strictly for being a parent.
Is it essential that you understand the workings and trends of the Internet? You know your child does. Is it essential that you master Facebook? Your child has.
What are the essential tools, websites, words that every parent should know? How much emphasis is there in your home for learning new technologies? What have your stumbling blocks been?
