Park Upgrades In La Grange Unveiled
The park district plans improvements to eight neighborhood parks.

LA GRANGE, IL – The park district in La Grange has completed improvements for two parks, paid for by voter-approved debt.
At Rotary Centennial Park, the Park District of La Grange built a new playground and shelter and added landscaping such as evergreen shrubs, shade trees and ornamental plantings, according to a news release. The park now includes a bike rack, a picnic table and benches.
Meanwhile, Spring Park features a new playground, pathway, drinking fountain and shelter with a picnic table. The district also added a perimeter fence for safety.

Last November, three-quarters of voters approved a referendum allowing the district to go into debt by $13.9 million for nearly 25 years.
The referendum consists of renovations for eight neighborhood parks and three facilities across La Grange.

Grand opening ceremonies are set for 4 p.m. Friday at Rotary Centennial Park and 4 p.m. Nov. 13 at Spring Park.
The projects were finished late last month.
