Residents Can Set Out Unlimited Household Refuse on Spring Clean Up Days
Large and miscellaneous items will also be collected at the curb on scheduled clean up days.

La Grange, IL - This year's Spring Clean Up in La Grange will take place the week of April 11 on regular collection days.
On the designated days, residents can set out an unlimited amount of household refuse, according to the village.
Residents north of 47th Street are scheduled for Spring Clean Up on April 11. Residents south of 47th Streetare scheduled for April 14.

Three stickers must be placed on the waste set out for collection. Residents who miss their scheduled clean-up day may not reschedule, according to the village.
Republic Service will collect large and miscellaneous items from single and two-family residences at the curb, including:

- Appliances
- Bulk items (bicycles, fans, etc.)
- Carpet (must be cut down to 4 feet in length, securely bundled, and no more than 30 lbs. in weight)
- Furniture
- Couches
- Chairs
Acceptable items must be placed at the curb next to regular refuse by 7 a.m. on collection day. Items other than furniture, large bulk items and appliances must be placed in bags, cans or boxes, which should not exceed 50 pounds each, according to the village.
Unacceptable items include:
- Electronics
- Construction and/or demolition debris
- Scrap wood and lumber
- Paint
- Concrete, asphalt, rocks, bricks
- Car parts
- Tires
- Batteries
- Any type of fluid
- Ammunition
- Hazardous or medical waste
- Radioactive materials
- Yard waste
- Fencing
- Railroad ties
Yard waste is not included in the Spring Clean Up, but it will be collected if it is properly prepared, stickered and set out on a regular collection day.
