BROOKFIELD, IL — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented times. Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these everyday heroes.
This submission comes from Darla Fisher, who nominated her sister-in-law, Debby Beilke, who is a respiratory therapist at Loyola Hospital.

What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?
She is a hard-working, loyal person. She worked a 16-hour shift because they had so many patients and not enough therapists to cover the patients.
