Riverside Police Share Super Bowl Enforcement Results

Riverside, IL - The Riverside Police Department conducted special patrols this Super Bowl weekend, looking for and cracking down on alcohol and drug-impaired drivers.

Officers worked a total of two special saturation patrols which focused on speeding violations, seat belts and also removing impaired motorists from the roadway.

During these saturation patrols, officers issued a total of 16 citations for various offenses.

• 10 speeding violations
• 1 cell phone violation
• 4 other moving violations
• 1 DUI arrest

The law enforcement crackdown is funded by federal traffic safety funds through IDOT and is part of Illinois Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign.
