HINSDALE, IL – A former special education bus driver from La Grange has been charged with misdemeanor battery and disorderly conduct involving a student, according to public records.

The charges were filed in January. The DuPage County Sheriff's Office was listed as the law enforcement agency. A spokesman for the office said he did not have detailed information on the case.

Last year, the girl's attorney, Roy McCampbell, filed a complaint with District 86, saying his client was touched in a "sexually gratifying manner."
In an email to Patch last week, McCampbell said the girl and her single mother have been "victimized by the legal system and the school system."
A Patch story last year detailed the complaint's allegations.
First Student said last year it no longer employs the man.
