Teens Knocking on Stranger's Door Had Been Drinking: Police

Western Springs, IL - Five teenagers were arrested and issued local ordinance citations after Western Springs police were called about suspicious people banging on a front door.

Police arrived around 12:09 a.m. at a home in the 1000 block of White Pine Lane and found two people in a car parked in front of the house and three people walking to the car from the home, according to Western Springs police.

Officers found four of the five teenagers had drank alcohol, and they found open alcohol, drug paraphernalia and a small amount of cannabis in the car, according to police.

An 18 year old of La Grange and an 18 year old of La Grange Park were each charged with disorderly conduct and consumption of alcohol by a minor.

An 18 year old of Indian Head Park was charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor.

An 18 year old of Indian Head Park was charged with possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia.

A 17 year old of La Grange was charged with disorderly conduct, consumption of alcohol by a minor, possession of drug paraphernalia and cannabis.
