Thunderstorms Headed Our Way Before Midnight

It's already getting dark and stormy out here in La Grange and La Grange Park.

The National Weather Service has issued a warning about severe thunderstorms tonight that will likely hit our area before midnight. High winds that could be damaging are expected. However, the wind speed is expected to be lower than other recent storms which caused power outages in June and July. Wind speeds tonight could gust to 30 mph.

Rain is expected to be between a quarter and half an inch.

So, here's hoping we don't have another week of power outage and storm debris reporting on Patch! Stay safe La Grange.
