Western Springs Police Reports: Burglary, Theft, Car Damage

Western Springs Police Department provided crime and arrest information through Sept. 8

Bethesda Walker, 29 of the 1900 block of Wolf Road, Hillside, was stopped for speeding Sept. 2 in the 3800 block of Central Avenue, according to Western Springs police. A records check showed Walker’s license was suspended.

Someone reportedly entered a closed business between Aug. 29 and 31 in the 900 block of Burlington Avenue and stole a drawer containing $200, according to Western Springs police. There were no signs of forced entry.

Someone reportedly stole an unattended boy’s bicycle Aug. 31 in the front yard of a home in the 4600 block of Harvey Avenue, according to Western Springs police. The bike was valued at about $75.

Someone reportedly stole an unattended girl’s bicycle Sept. 1 from a garage in the 5300 block of Caroline Avenue, according to Western Springs police. The bike was valued at about $500.

Someone intentionally damaged the library book return box between Aug. 31 and Sept. 1 in front of the Thomas Ford Library, according to Western Springs police.

Someone threw an apple at the driver’s side mirror of a parked car between Sept. 5 and 6 in the 4000 block of Grand Avenue, according to Western Springs police. The car was parked on the road.
