Western Springs Police Reports: DUI, Theft, Suspended License

The information in the following reports is courtesy of the Western Springs Police Department.

Shenan I Banks, 42 of the 9000 block of S. Cornell in Chicago, was stopped at 9:44 p.m. March 10 for speeding at Ogden Avenue and Interstate 294. She was arrested for driving on a suspended driver's license, and she was cited for not having proof of insurance.

Richard Jacobs, 49 of the 400 block of S. Liberty in Elgin, was stopped at 1:38 a.m. March 12 for speeding at 55th Street and Interstate 294. He showed signs of impairment, he submitted to field sobriety tests and he was arrested for drunken driving.

Two unidentified women entered a Walgreens around 3:35 p.m. March 9 on Gilbert Avenue and took numerous items without paying for them.

Someone used a victim's credit card at 6:52 a.m. March 10 for purchases totaling about $9,000.

Someone took a realtor's "for sale" sign March 11 from in front of a home in the 3900 block of Grand Avenue.
