LA GRANGE, IL – The long-awaited Wooden Paddle restaurant in La Grange is seeking a liquor license.

The village's liquor commission plans to review the request Monday evening.

Owners Jonathan and Brianna Cowan posted a video on social media last month of the moving of "heavy-ass" items into the building at 23 W. Calendar Ave.

Remi, the event venue on the second floor, is now taking bookings for weddings and is on track for an April opening, Jonathan said.

The couple have been active on social media documenting the project. At times, they have been blunt about the challenges of setting up the restaurant. Patch wrote about their social media activity in the fall.
