Tavern on La Grange
Kicking off our list is Tavern On La Grange. They were still accepting reservations as of Tuesday night. Partiers on N.Y.E. can opt for dinner plus open bar ($125) or open bar only ($100). The open bar will open at 9 p.m. Groove Dynasty performs at 9:30 p.m., along with DJ Rich Huerta. The dinner includes a bottle of champagne and the event is black tie is optional. Looking for something casual and delicious? , 30 S. La Grange Rd., in La Grange is ringing in the New Year with a Pix Fixe menu for New Year's Eve. The menu features a starting course of either Maine Peekytoe Crab Bisque or a charcuterie board with house cherry smoked duck breast, calabrese salami, spanish chorizo, & accompaniments. The main course features a choice of Beef Fillet Medallions, Wild Forest Mushroom Ragu, Creole Sausage Potato Cake, Arugula Chimichurri or Lobster & Pappardelle, Sundried Tomato Truffled Cream, Shucked Lobster, Pickled Sweet Onion, and Basil Oil. Top it off with a selection of fine cheeses or a chocolate tart, and both come with champagne. Reservations are highly recommended and can be placed by calling 708-354-4995. All this for only $50.
Willowbrook Ballroom
Want a more classic and formal atmosphere for celebrating? Check out the Willowbrook Ballroom, 8900 S. Archer Ave. in Willow Springs. For a classic New Year's Eve, Willowbrook Ballroom has been ringing in new years since opening in 1921. A cocktail reception with a cash bar begins at 7 p.m., followed by dinner packages ranging from $85 to $120 per person, including dancing to the Teddy Lee Orchestra and a champagne toast at midnight. If you just want to dance, the dance package is $35 per person before Dec. 30 and $45 thereafter or at the door. Dancing goes from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. and the package includes party hats, horns, snacks, coffee, cookies, a giant countdown clock and thousands of balloons dropped at midnight.

Located in Western Springs, , 821 Burlington Ave., is offering a wonderful five-course meal and toast. The seating is limited, so you are going to want to call ahead and get on this one quickly. The first seating begins at 5 p.m. and costs $65. The late seating starts at 7:30 p.m. and costs $85, but includes a complimentary limo ride home if you live within five miles! Reservations are required and can be made by calling 708-246-8668.
Don't feel like going out for a big party? Maybe you'd rather relax and take the end of the year in stride. If so, take a look at Focus Yoga Studio, 9047 Monroe Ave. in Brookfield, which will be holding a special class on New Year's Eve from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Candles will light the room, which means you can enter the New Year in peace and relaxation. Looking for something the whole family can do? Spend the night with your loved ones and friends at , 3300 Golf Rd., in Brookfield, for Holiday Magic. Nearly 1 million lights will light up your night on the zoo's walkways. The event also includes ice sculpting demonstrations and a fantastic light show. There's a ton of other fun events planned as well for kids of all ages. The cost is $9 and .
