Both LT basketball teams had great games this weekend. The boys took home a big win against Downers Grove on Friday night, and the girls narrowly lost to Oak Park on Saturday afternoon.

The LT boys took Downers Grove to the cleaners in an away victory 58-39, The Doings reported.
Early points went to Downers Grove, and the Trojan's almost led at the half before LT went on a 15-point scoring streak to claim the lead. The Lions got as much as a 15-point lead in the third quarter, but much of the game was close. The Lions closed the game with a 19-3 run to get the win.

The LT girls suffered a tough defeat in Oak Park, the Chicago Tribune reported.
The girls lost to the Huskies 63-62. Oak Park came back strong from a late in the game deficit to take the win.
Stand out players were Ashanti Davis with 17 points and Kayla Morrissey with 12 points.
