The Windy City Rollers took home two wins on Saturday night at the McCook Athletic & Exposition Center
In the first bout, the Windy City Rec Team fought off the tough South Shore Roller Derby Derailers (from Northwest Indiana) by a score of 308-174. In spite of the high scores, there was plenty of defense as jammers from both teams struggled at times to get through the tight blocking.
Visiting Arch Rival Roller Derby (from St Louis) gave the Second Wind all they could handle in a Windy City win, 172-125. Arch Rival Nemesis kept the game close throughout the first half, but Second Wind pulled away in the second half to preserve the win.
