2 Lake Forest Girls on National Championship Soccer Team

One of them, Hannah Marwede, was also named to the tournament's Best XI team.

Five North Shore girls helped propel a local soccer team to its second national championship in two years.

The Eclipse Select Soccer Club’s U-16 girls claimed the title at the Elite Clubs National League championship in Richmond, VA last week. Last year, they won the U-15 title.

Courtney Daugerdas of Libertyville
Abby Dein of Glenview
Hannah Marwede of Lake Forest, who has committed to play at Miami
Zoe Redei of Highland Park, who has committed to play at North Carolina
Lea Waddle of Lake Forest, who has committed to play at Vanderbilt

Additionally, Marwede was named to the tournament’s U-16 Best XI team, meaning she was one of the top players there.
