Scouts Advance to Sectional Soccer Final
Lake Forest High School soccer team blanks Grayslake Central in semifinal.

Five goals from five different players powered the Lake Forest High School soccer team to a 5-0 semifinal victory over Grayslake Central and into Sectional championship game at 11 a.m. Saturday against Deerfield in Lake Villa.
In the middle of the first half, Allie Banta and Sydney Johnson helped get the ball to Jenny McKendry for the Scouts’ initial score.

Later in the half, Amanda Bourne’s defensive pressure helped send a Ram pass in the direction of Lake Forest’s Bailey Ehrens, according to Coach Ty Stuckslager. Ehrens got it back to Bourne who passed to Brooke Green. Green’s shot into the goal who made the score 2-0 at intermission.
Lake Forest kept the pressure coming as it took a 3-0 edge in the opening minute of the second half as Adrian Walker scored on an assist from Carly Hoke. Ehrens had a goal of her own a little later with an assist from Bourne.

The final Scout goal came when Kendall Hoke scored on a header passed to her by Paige Bourne. Goalie Liz Clark had three save in the shut out win.
The second seeded Scouts are 10-2-6 for the season and meet No. 1 seed Deerfield for the Sectional championship Saturday and the right to advance to the Barrington Supersectional at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
