Spirit of 67 Tour Enchants, Helps Students
Take a look at the four homes that were part of this year's tour sponsored by the Spirit of 67 Foundation benefitting Lake Forest District 67 students.
More than 600 people walked through four Lake Forest homes Thursday and they did if for the children of the community.
The walk was the annual Spirit of 67 Home Tour. This year more than $70,000 was raised which will go to grants benefitting the Lake Forest District 67 community.

“We all do it for one reason, our children,” event co-chair Allison Cekay said. “The money raised at this event impacts the life of every student, every school, every day."
At one of the homes, participants heard a Deer Path Middle School choral group singing while at another two students talked to guests about the grants.

“I love getting the children involved in the Home Tour, they do a great job of bringing the grants to life and making the connection between the Home Tour and the Spirit of 67,” co-chair Megan Medica said.
The annual event takes a lot of effort from many members of the community from those who put it together to the people offering their homes. “We are so grateful to the many that helped along the way and of course to the homeowners who so graciously opened their homes and made this event possible," co-chair Sally McDonald said.
