Asbestos Removal to Continue at May Whitney Elementary

Crews will continue to work on getting rid of asbestos at May Whitney Elementary School in Lake Zurich this summer, the Chicago Tribune reports.

School District 95 officials say they plan to take out floor tiles in four classrooms as part of the asbestos removal process. There is still more work to be done to rid the entire school of the substance, but the job cannot be done in one summer alone. Crews will continue to work each summer until the asbestos is cleared from the building, the newspaper reports.
