Ela Area Public Library Offers Voice-over for Kids

Preschool dance and Valentine craft programs planned for February

Introduction to Voice-over for Kids and Adults

Windy City Voice talents Kathy Poelker and DavidΒ  Lecinski will present two workshops on the voice-over industry onΒ Saturday, Jan. 26Β at theΒ Ela Area Public Library.Β Kids in grades 3-7 will have the opportunity to practice a script, make appropriate vocal choices, rehearse with other voices and get β€œon mic” to record during the β€œKids on Mic!” workshop from 10 a.m.-noon. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and the child must read fluently with a little practice. Class is limited to 20 children.

Beginning at 1 p.m., the second session is geared for teens in grades 8 and older and adults. Learn about the voice-over industry, analyze a script, make appropriate vocal choices, rehearse with class participants and actually get β€œon mic” to record lines. Participants in both sessions will receive an emailed review and evaluation of their performance.

Ela Library’s Dance Party

Get your groove on and shake your sillies out at the Ela Area Public Library! Dance, bob and sing along to favorite tunes onΒ Monday,Β Feb. 4,Β atΒ 10 a.m.Β forΒ accompanied children ages 18 months to 5 years of age.Β

Ela Area Public Library to Host Preschool Crafts

Drop in and make a special Valentine’s Day craft atΒ Ela Area Public LibraryΒ onΒ Tuesday, Feb. 5, Wednesday, Feb. 6Β orΒ Thursday, Feb. 7Β fromΒ 10 -11 a.m.Β The same craft will be offered each day. Craft is geared for accompanied children age 5 and under.
