Class 6A Football: Lemont-Peoria Semifinal Set for Saturday Afternoon
The Indians (12-0) will take on the Knights (9-3) at 2 p.m. at Richwoods High School. Tickets will be available Wednesday and Thursday at LHS.

The varsity football team will travel to Peoria Richwoods this Saturday as they look to advance to the IHSA Class 6A state championship.
The top-seeded Indians (12-0) will take on the No. 5 Knights (9-3) at 2 p.m. at Richwoods High School, 6301 North University St. in Peoria, the Illinois High School Association announced Monday.
Tickets to Saturday's game cost $6 and will be available at the gate. However, tickets will also be sold prior to the game through the Lemont High School front office, according to Athletic Director John Young.

The front office will be selling tickets from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, Young said.
The high school also hopes to offer at least one fan bus that will travel to and from Peoria. The cost to ride would be $20, which includes the cost of an individual ticket.

Fans are encouraged to wear white to the game, Young said.
In the 6A quarterfinals Saturday, the with a convincing 29-0 win. Peoria Richwoods beat Danville 20-19.
Saturday's game will mark the Indians' first semifinal appearance since they finished as the state runner-up in 2008.
The winner of the Lemont-Peoria game will head to the state championship against either No. 1 Batavia (12-0) or No. 2 Prairie Ridge (11-1). That game will be played at 1 p.m. Saturday in Batavia.
