Donate Food for Free Fitness Classes Thanksgiving Morning at the CORE

Those who bring in a non-perishable food item can take a class, go for a swim or work out in the Fitness Center for free from 7 a.m. to noon Thursday, Nov. 28, 16050 127th St.

Boost your metabolism before that Thanksgiving meal by heading to the open house at the CORE.

Proceeds will benefit the Lemont Food Pantry.

Hope & Friendship Foundation's “The Day the Turkeys Fly”: Help is needed from 2:30 to 5:30 Nov. 26., at Lemont Safety Village. Drivers are needed from 2:30 to 3 p.m. assistance with sorting food is needed from 3 to 4 p.m.; deliveries between 4 and 5 p.m.; and cleanup from 5 to 5:30 p.m. Side dishes are also needed and can be dropped off between 2 and 3 p.m. Nov. 26 at Safety Village. Email Hopeandfriendship@comcast.net for more information.
• Holiday Artists Bazaar: The Lemont Center for the Arts' fourth annual Holiday Artists Bazaar will continue through Dec. 22. Attendees can shop a selection of locally handmade arts and crafts. Usual gallery hours are noon to 4 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Sunday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, at 1243 State St, Unit 101.
