2. Village Board Meeting

The Lemont Village Board will hold a special meeting Monday night for strategic planning. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Village Counsel Room at , 418 Main St. For more information, visit www.lemont.il.us.

3. Countdown to the Oscars Contest

The , 50 E. Wend St., is hosting a "Countdown to the Oscars Contest" through Feb. 26. Library patrons are invited to fill out an Oscar ballot at the library, selecting winners in each of the following categories: Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress and Best Documentary.

The entry with the most correct answers will win a gift certificate to a local movie theater. Two runners-up will receive coupons for 10 free DVD rentals from the library. Winners will be notified Feb. 27. For more information, visit www.lemontlibrary.org.

4. District 113A Community Forums

will host community forums Tuesday and Wednesday to give the public a chance to way in on the superintendent search process. The forums will each begin at 7 p.m., and will be held in the ,16100 W. 127th St.

5. New Year, New You

The  is offering a "New Year, New You" special for people who join the , 16050 W. 127th St. Throughout the month of January, there will be no enrollment fee to sign up for the CORE.

The first 100 members to join will receive a voucher for a free haircut to Jeffrey LaMorte Salon and Day Spa. The next 200 members will receive a coupon for 20-percent off one haircut or 20-percent off one pedicure.
