The play depicts a jury forced to reconsider a nearly unanimous decision, thanks to a dissenting vote from a single juror who plants a seed of reasonable doubt in the minds of other jurors as they deliberate whether a young man murdered his own father. The young man’s penalty for a guilty verdict would be a death sentence. Throughout deliberations, jurors refer to each other only by their numbers, and no names are used.

Lemont's winter play will be performed under the direction of Sharon Jacobs, with Roy Nees serving as the assistant director and Dan Franke in charge of set construction. Juniors Kylie Obbish and Will Vanderbilt are the production’s student directors, while sophomore Ingrid Lejins will serve as the stage manager.

Tickets may be purchased at the door, and are $7 for adults and $5 for children,
senior citizens and students with a valid school ID.
