Lemont Man, 80, Charged With Predatory Sex Assault Of Child

LEMONT, IL — An 8o-year-old Lemont man has been charged with two counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child and one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse after an extensive investigation, police said.

The man, Edward Urbanczyk, of the 1400 block of Baileys Crossing, was charged on Friday.

Police said they were made aware of a sexual assault allegation involving a juvenile victim on Sept. 15.

Urbanczyk was processed and taken to the Bridgeview Courthouse. He attended a pre-trial detention hearing and was given conditions of release.

Police said conditions of release include GPS monitoring, no contact with anyone under 18, no social media messaging platforms and no contact with the victim.
