• Lemont's Ice And Lights Fest Set For Jan. 17 (patch.com) — Lemont residents can look forward to the sixth annual Ice & Lights Fest returning downtown on Jan. 17, featuring more than 20 business-sponsored ice sculptures. From 4 to 6 p.m. on Front Street, visitors can watch a live two-block ice carving, enjoy fire performances, and roast marshmallows with Lemont firefighters amid the holiday lights and local shops.
   

• Lemont Library Accepting Applications For Board Vacancy (patch.com) — Lemont residents have a chance to fill a vacant seat on the Lemont Public Library District Board of Trustees, with applications due by Feb. 1. Applicants must be registered voters living in the district for at least a year, meet state eligibility rules, and commit to attending the Feb. 10 board meeting for interviews. The appointed trustee will serve until the spring 2027 election.
