LEMONT, IL — After several months of renovation, the Lemont Park District announced the grand reopening of Field 32, formerly known as Miracle Field, at Centennial Park.

In 2007, the Lemont Park District’s Miracle Field was nearly 100 percent donated by community
supporters and organizations, according to a release from the park district. Since then, this multi-use field has been an asset to the community for people of all abilities; including home to the SEASPAR Spartans, Lemont Baseball and Softball Club, athletic programming, outdoor fitness classes, day camp activities and more.

“In 2023, when it was time to renovate the field, the district was awarded a $600,000 matching
grant from our state’s Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development program, known as
OSLAD," Executive Director Louise Egofske said in a release. “This program, along with using matching capital reserves, allowed us to build the $1.2 million enhanced field. This renovation included dugouts, a new fencing and netting system, a new scoreboard, a batting cage, and a new ADA-compliant synthetic turf field.”
