Stewardship Saturdays Support Lemont's Heritage Woodland Sanctuary

Support and learn more about the pollinator plant population at Lemont's Heritage Woodland Sanctuary.

LEMONT, IL — Lemont Township will host Stewardship Saturdays throughout the summer and fall to support its Heritage Woodland Sanctuary. The nature area is located around the Lemont Township Community Center at 16300 Alba St.

The Township said the events will include restoration activities, educational opportunities and special events focused on enhancing the pollinator plant population.

The events are work days so dress for the weather and bring sunscreen, bug spray, long sleeves, water and work gloves, the Township said. You can sign up here.

The Stewardship Saturdays are planned for:

  • May 17, 9 a.m. to noon, restoration kick-off
  • June 21, 9 a.m. to noon, nature walk with Pizzo Group
  • Aug. 23, 9 a.m. to noon
  • Sept. 27, 9 a.m. to noon
  • Oct. 18, 9 a.m. to noon
