Lemont Township Tax Appeals Open Until Sept. 2
The Township said that Lemont Township is not being reassessed this year, but property owners still can file an appeal.
LEMONT, IL — If you would like to appeal your property taxes, the appeals window for Lemont Township is open until Sept. 2.
The Township said that Lemont Township is not being reassessed this year, but property owners still can file an appeal. You can file an appeal online through the Lemont Township Assessor's Office, file directly through the Cook County Assessor's Office, or by an appointment with the Lemont Township Assessor's Office for assistance in filing your appeal.
Earlier this summer, the Township Assessor's Office said that second installment property tax bills from Cook County would be at least one month late.

Usually tax bills are mailed in late June, and due around Aug. 1. However, mailing and due dates will be delayed by at least one month due to a switch in the computer system by county agencies.
So, residents can expect tax bills to be due no earlier than Sept. 1, and it could still be later.
