Lemont's Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade Set For March 7
The Village said nomination letters for King or Queen must be submitted online by Feb. 4.
LEMONT, IL — Lemont's annual St. Patrick's Day parade is set for March 7, and the Village is already accepting nomination letters for the parade's King and Queen.
The Village said nomination letters must be submitted online by Feb. 4. Nominations are open to Lemont residents who are high school juniors through second-year college students, preferably of Irish heritage.
The candidate must demonstrate an active involvement in school service organizations and/or community service activities, according to the Village. The chosen nominees will lead the parade in a horse-drawn carriage.

The parade steps off at 1 p.m. on March 7 in downtown Lemont. After the parade, festivities will be held in downtown Lemont from 2 to 4 p.m. at Legion Park and the VFW. There will be live entertainment, Irish dancers, a DJ, and the VFW will be serving its famous corned beef sandwiches.
