• Waste Management Offers Christmas Tree Pick-Up For Lemont (patch.com) — Lemont residents can have their live Christmas trees picked up curbside by Waste Management on their regular collection day through the last week of January. The Village reminds residents to remove all decorations, avoid bagging trees, and keep them under 50 pounds and about 4 feet long, cutting larger trees into sections if needed.
   

• Lemont's Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade Set For March 7 (patch.com) — Lemont is gearing up for its annual St. Patrick’s Day parade on March 7, and the Village is seeking nominations for a local King and Queen to lead the festivities. Eligible Lemont students can apply online by Feb. 4, and residents can look forward to afternoon celebrations in downtown Lemont with entertainment, Irish dancers, a DJ, and corned beef sandwiches at Legion Park and the VFW.
