"To 'Live Like Joe' is to be kind, selfless, helpful and encouraging," his parents said.

LEMONT, IL — It's time to "live like Joe," and come together to honor 13-year-old Joe Fornero in the first annual Joe Fornero 3-Point Shootout.
Last March, Joe, a student at Old Quarry Middle School in Lemont, died after suffering a medical emergency.
Joe is described as a basketball lover and a young man who included everyone, bringing friends of all walks of life together. Now, his family is honoring his memory with a basketball shootout event on April 26 at the Lemont CORE, 16050 127th St.
