Local Business to Host LHS Football Tailgate

Sullivan's Home Design Center is hosting a barbecue Friday prior to the varsity football game to support the Blue and Gold Backers.

Local kitchen and bath remodeling firm will host a community tailgate Friday to raise money for Lemont High School athletic programs, as well as to announce its new name, Sullivan's Home Design Center.

The barbecue will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Sullivan's, located one block south of the high school at 900 Main St. The Indians (6-0) will take the field at 7 p.m. against Hillcrest (0-6).

Although the tailgate is free to attend, guests are invited to make monetary donations to the Blue and Gold Backers, a parent volunteer group that provides countless hours of service and financial support for athletics.

"We're always looking for ways to give back to the community, so we're looking forward to holding this event and showing our support for the high school and the Blue and Gold Backers," said Ryan Sullivan, operations manager at Sullivan's Home Design Center.

Sullivan said the event will also mark the re-opening of the business under its new name.

"We had a fresh start with the new name, so the tailgate is a good way to bring people to our business and show them what we're about," he said.

The Sullivan's Home Design Center showroom is complete with full kitchen and bathroom displays, along with selection centers for cabinets, countertops, faucets, fixtures, flooring and more. Builders, designers and homeowners are invited to visit the showroom during regular business hours without an appointment.
