New Chief Of Police Chosen For Lemont
Jason LoCoco will assume the role following the retirement of Chief Marc Maton.

LEMONT, IL — At the Lemont Village Board meeting on July 28, the Village appointed Jason LoCoco as the next Chief of Police, the Village shared in a news release.
LoCoco will assume the role following the retirement of Chief Marc Maton. Maton has served as chief since 2015.
The village said the appointment comes after a comprehensive search process, including an extensive review of credentials, experience and leadership capabilities to ensure the best fit for the community.

LoCoco is a graduate of Drake University and brings over 25 years of leadership experience with the Illinois State Police, the Village said.
"Throughout his distinguished career, he has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to public safety, professional integrity, and community-focused service. His experience spans patrol operations, training and development, crisis and crowd control management, administrative leadership, and interagency collaboration," according to the village.

LoCoco, his wife, Marie, and their two sons are Lemont residents.
"We are confident that Chief-Designate LoCoco will build upon the strong foundation laid by Chief Maton and continue to lead our department with excellence," the Village said.
