Nick's Tavern Celebrates 80th Anniversary

To celebrate the business, the 80th anniversary will include a 0.0K race, starting at 8 a.m. on Sept. 13.

LEMONT, IL — Nick's Tavern, a downtown Lemont staple, will celebrate its 80th anniversary on Sept. 13.

To celebrate the business, the 80th anniversary will include a 0.0K race, starting at 8 a.m. The race will begin at the Lemont train station depot and finish at the end of the parking lot going east. You can register on the Nick's Tavern website.

Registration is $35 (day of event registration is $45), and includes an anniversary T-shirt and mug, the business shared. After the race, you can celebrate with $1 draft beers, $8 famous pepper and eggs sandwiches, and $5 Bloody Marys.

There will also be free face painting for kids, live music by Ralph Johnson, raffle prizes and giveaways.

100 percent of the proceeds will benefit the Hope and Friendship Foundation, the Lemont Food Pantry and the Lemont Historical Society.
