Crash Causes Car To Hit House In Lemont: Police

Lemont Police responded to the two-vehicle crash in the 12800 block of Archer Avenue at 3:41 p.m. on Friday.

LEMONT, IL — A two-vehicle crash resulted in one of the vehicles striking a home in Lemont on Friday afternoon, Lemont Police said.

Lemont Police responded to the two-vehicle crash in the 12800 block of Archer Avenue at 3:41 p.m. on Friday. Police said preliminary investigation shows one vehicle was merging onto Archer Avenue from the median when it was struck by a second vehicle traveling southbound on Archer Avenue.

The impact caused the second vehicle to veer off the roadway, and it crashed into a home on Falcon Court, police said.

The Lemont Fire Protection District responded to the crash. Police said no injuries were reported at the scene and no one was required to be transported to the hospital.

The Village of Lemont’s Building Department also responded to the scene and evaluated the structure, determining that the home remains safe for occupancy, police said.

The driver determined to be at fault was found a short distance from the scene and received multiple citations in connection with the incident, according to police.
