PHOTO: Local Fire Chiefs Thank Rep. Jim Durkin for Continued Support

Local emergency response agencies presented Rep. Jim Durkin (R-Western Springs) with a plaque Monday to thank him for his continued support.

The award was given on behalf  of Mutual Aid Box Alarm System (MABAS) Districy 10. MABAS is a statewide, non-discriminatory mutual aid response system for fire EMS and specialized operational teams, according to its website.

Presenting the plaque were Chief Carl Churulo of the , Chief Pat Kenny of the Western Springs Fire Department, retired Chief Tony Bednarz of Western Springs, Chief Kent Adams of the Romeoville Fire Department and Chief Kevin Doyle of the Pleasantview Fire District.
