Village Reminds Residents of Winter Parking Restrictions
In order to accommodate snow plows, residents are to observe odd-even parking after a snowfall of 2 inches or more.

As the Chicago area prepares for what could be the , the is reminding residents to follow its winter parking restrictions.
After a snowfall of 2 inches or more, residents are asked to park their vehicles on the odd-numbered side of the street on odd calendar days, and the even-numbered side on even calendar days.
The day is considered to begin at 9 a.m., according to the village website.

If an emergency arises during a winter storm, residents should call 911. The Public Works Department maintains constant two-way communication with the , and is able to provide immediate support to ambulance and fire equipment.
According to the village, mailboxes in the right-of-way are sometimes damaged during snow removal. They will be replaced in the spring with standard rural route mailboxes. To report damage, call Public Works at 630-257-2532.
