Coroner IDs Man, 21, Killed In North Chicago Crash

LAKE COUNTY, IL — A 21-year-old Waukegan man killed in a single-vehicle rollover crash in North Chicago has been identified as Tywaun Reed.

The collision happened in the area of Commonwealth Avenue and 24th Street, according to a news release from the Lake County Coroner's Office. Authorities found a vehicle at about 11:40 p.m. that had left the roadway and rolled over sustaining major damage.

The driver, and only person inside the vehicle, was found partially ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Autopsy results show Reed died from blunt force injuries sustained as a result of a crash. The cause of the collision remains under investigation by the North Chicago Police Department.
