A man who was selling cocaine from his home in Marengo was arrested and also charged with endangering the life of his child, court records show.
Issac C. Velasquez, 30, of the 600 block of East Grant Highway in Marengo, was charged with two counts of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance, three counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance and child endangerment.

A criminal complaint filed in McHenry County alleges that Velasquez sold between one and 15 grams of cocaine on February 23.
He is also accused of selling between 15 and 100 grams of cocaine on March 3, according to the complaint.
The third occasion occurred on Friday when Velasquez sold between one and 15 grams of cocaine, the complaint said.
The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office investigated the case and arrested Velasquez on Friday. It is unknown who Velasquez sold the drugs to or if it was an undercover sting.

Sheriff’s detectives also charged Velasquez with endangering the life of a child, according to the complaint.
Detectives said that Velasquez placed a 10-year-old child in danger by having him present during the Friday drug deal in his home, which had been used for the sale of narcotics.
Velasquez said in an affidavit that the 10-year-old child is his son and he lives with him at the residence.
A judge ordered Velasquez held on a $100,000 bond. He would need to post $10,000 cash in order to be released on bail.
A status for a preliminary hearing is scheduled for Tuesday.
