Additional Funds Available For Restaurants In DuPage County
The County Board has authorized an additional $2.5 million in funding for the DuPage County Small Business Grant Relief Program.
The DuPage County Board has authorized an additional $2.5 million in funding for the DuPage County Small Business Grant Relief Program. This program is aimed at supporting restaurants and food service establishments in DuPage County that have less than $4 million in annual gross revenue and meet other qualifying criteria. Eligible businesses can apply for up to $15,000 in relief to offset the costs of business and operational expenses due to COVID-19.
On Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at 8:00 a.m. the application portal for the relief program will be opened to accept new applications. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until funding capacity has been reached. Businesses are encouraged to submit applications as soon as possible after the portal opens. The portal will remain open until funding capacity is reached.

Criteria
- Restaurants with less than $4 million in annual gross revenue may apply for a grant up to $15,000.
- Businesses having previously received funding from the DuPage County Small Business Relief Grant Program are not eligible.
- Businesses previously ineligible for this program because funds intended for this purpose had been received from other sources (i.e. PPP, EIDL), may now be eligible. Note: if such funds caused your income to exceed pre-COVID income, you may not be eligible.
Businesses attempting to determine if they qualify should consider these questions:

- Are you a restaurant or food service establishment located in DuPage County, Illinois?
- Does 50% or more of your revenue come from the sale of food or liquor?
- Has your business been affected by COVID-19, making this grant request necessary to support your ongoing operations?
- Is your gross revenue less than $4 million?
- Is your business in compliance with the Governor’s current executive order prohibiting all indoor dining?
Businesses answering yes to all of the above may be eligible to receive funding from this program. Businesses will be notified of their application status by Thursday, November 19th. Prequalified businesses will be asked to submit the following:
- Most recent tax return 2019 or 2018
- Documents substantiating proof of revenue decline due to COVID, such as ST-1 forms, or Profit & Loss statements, etc.
- Secretary of State Certificate of Good Standing
- Information on any COVID relief funds already received
- W-9 form
