Sober Driving Encouraged Amid Holiday Crackdown In Lisle
Lisle police will increase patrols to target drunk and high drivers as Christmas and New Year's Eve approach.
LISLE, IL — Lisle drivers are urged to stay sober as the winter holidays approach, bringing a new holiday safety crackdown from the city's police department. Throughout the remainder of December and the start of January, the Lisle Police Department will increase enforcement to target drivers who are under the influence.
“This season let’s make safety our shared priority,” Sergeant William Wise said in a statement.
Wise added, “If you plan to drink or use impairing substances, plan ahead for a sober ride home and always wear your seat belt. Driving impaired isn’t just dangerous; it’s unacceptable. We will be out in full force, and no excuses will be accepted."
