
A Lisle man has been charged with misdemeanor DUI alcohol after allegedly hitting two women crossing a street in Chicago's River North neighborhood last Thursday with his BMW.
According to the Chicago Tribune, Michael Lapato, 26, was also charged with negligent driving, failure to reduce speed and failure to yield to pedestrians after his car struck the women, who were crossing Ontario Street between LaSalle Avenue and Wells Street, at about 10:10 p.m. on Thursday.
The women were both in stable condition at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, the Chicago Sun-Times reports; LaPato's BAC was not released by police.
